They say I’m like an artist caught in quicksand
The more I struggle the more I sink can you lend me a hand
Today I tried to learn some coding
My girlfriend got mad and said you’re a poet not a robot
I hope you got some art done
I know that you are smart hun
But you put all your attention
On things that do not matter
Like stock market crashes
And distant bloodbaths when
You should be making your comics
That’s when your eyes used to shine
Now you talk like a zombie and look like you’re dead inside
You’re making me so mad you’re making me want to cry
Thankfully I have my cats to keep sane by my side
I can no longer read you

I guess that I’m depressed down under my skin
But maybe other people just can’t handle all the chaos that’s within
I tried to find some motivation
But staring at my books is easier than pulling one off the shelf
Hope that I am okay
I pretend that there is no way
That the world is getting to me
But the gray clouds are looming
And everything is gloomy broken breaking I’m assuming
That things will go from bad to worse
And never quite get to reverse
A letter sent to the wrong address
A bill that won’t get through congress
Coffee spill on her new dress
Insomnia when you try to rest
As the planet bowling balls through space
Time notices the human race
Matters just a little bit
In the grand scheme just a little blip
As I’m angry rage filled in my room
Singing about about atomic doom
The end of all humanity
An anomaly in infinity

I can no longer read you
Like a ghost you are see through
